.Jummah Mubarak.

This is my collection of the Friday sermons (khutbahs). (DISCLAIMER: I don't take notes during the actual lecture, so this is just a summary of what I remember, plus a mix of my personal sentiment, and probably a dash of other lectures I've heard in the past.) If I err (misquote, misunderstand, etc.) it's all from me and anything good is from God. So with anything, take the good, leave the bad, and enjoy!

Ramadan is the Time

Shaykh Y @ Masjid I

Ramadan is a time to draw closer to Allah.
Ramadan is a time of self purification.

This entails getting to know yourself.

Things to consider:

On a day you miss suhur, will you be like a volcano where you explode onto those around you and lava flows from your mouth?

On the day you recieve a bad phone call/email or experience trauma in an important relationship or such similar difficulty will it take you off track?

On a day your inner two year old throws a tantrum, will you be able to control them?

May we learn more about ourselves, seek to improve ourselves, ask for forgiveness, and draw closer to our Lord. Ameen.

SN. Day of Doubt; like every other year Muslims aren't agreeing on what day to start--but you know what, begin the most beautiful time of the year with the correct niyya.
Either your fasting in preparation for Ramadan Kareem on the last day of Shabaan or beginning on time. Differences/ Flexibility are a mercy. Be humble, love your brethern. May God forgive us. Ameen.

Oh yes, Ramadan Mubarak to all!
